While in the Ultrabay 2000, the battery can either power the system to supplement the standard system battery and be recharged when the ThinkPad is connected to a power supply.
Similar specifications to the standard system battery - When in the Ultrabay 2000 of the ThinkPad or the ThinkPad UltraBase X3, the battery extends the unplugged usage time.
